Our values

Five things, and what each one actually means on your job

Not a poster in an office. This is what each value looks like in practice, on a bathroom just as much as a new home.

01

Communication

We tell people what's happening before they have to ask.

  • Clients know where their job is up to, what's coming next and what it costs.
  • Trades and suppliers get clear information early so they can do their job properly.
  • When something goes wrong, we say so straight away and bring a solution with it.

Most problems on a build aren't building problems, they're communication problems.

02

Honesty and Trust

We quote what we mean and we do what we said.

  • No hidden margins, no surprise variations dressed up as someone else's fault.
  • If we've made a mistake, we own it and fix it.

Building a home is one of the biggest things most people will ever spend money on, and they hand it to us largely on faith. We treat that seriously.

03

Quality

We build homes that stand up over time, not just ones that look good at handover.

  • The right trades, the right products, no corners cut in the places nobody sees.
  • If we wouldn't accept it in our own home, it doesn't go in a client's.

04

Sustainability

We build homes that cost less to run and last longer.

  • Basics first: orientation, insulation, glazing, sealing and a tight build, before adding gear.
  • We meet the energy rating because it's law, and aim past it where it makes sense for the client.
  • Waste kept down on site, ordered to measure.
  • Materials and suppliers we'd be happy to defend in ten years.

05

Innovation

We look for better ways to build and better ways to run a build.

  • New materials and methods when they're proven, not just new.
  • Better systems behind the scenes so clients get faster answers, clearer costs and fewer surprises.
  • We'd rather test something small on our own jobs than keep doing it the slow way because that's how it's always been done.

Culture

Culture isn't a separate value, it's the result of the five above. Communicate well, act honestly, care about the work, and you end up with a team and a group of trades who want to be on your jobs.

We look after our people and our trades, because good builds come from people who want to be there.

See it on a real job before you take our word for it
