For our clients

Something not right? Tell us.

If something has gone wrong in a home we built, we want to know and we will come and fix it. Five minutes here saves a phone call and gets the right trade to your door with the right materials.

A finished main bathroom with a freestanding fluted bath, brushed gold tapware and a walk-in shower

This is the standard we're being asked to hold.

What to have ready

  1. Your contact details

Name, phone and email, so we can reach you to arrange a time.

  2. Where the issue is

Lounge, kitchen, hallway, bedroom, bathroom, media room, roof, external cladding or external areas. Tick as many as apply.

  3. What the issue is

A plain description. What you are seeing, and when you first noticed it.

  4. Photos or video

Required, not optional. Up to fifteen files. We cannot assess a defect we cannot see, and it is what lets us turn up with the right trade and the right materials the first time.

Standards & tolerances guide (PDF)

Building work is assessed against a published guide to standards and tolerances, not against how the finish looks under close inspection. It is worth a read before you submit, because a good number of reported defects turn out not to qualify.

Plastering is the usual example. An indentation in a wall only counts as a defect if it is visible from 1.5 metres away, which is to say visible when you are standing at a normal distance from the wall rather than with your nose against it.

If it does not qualify

We are happy to rectify any genuine defect. But if we come out to verify one and it does not meet the guide, there is a call-out fee of $230 + GST. That is why the guide is worth five minutes first.
